Back by popular demand with an exciting new addition – rail bikes! Experienced trip staff will lead campers on an adventure through the Old Forge region of the Adirondack Park with each day bringing a new experience. Take in the beauty of the Adirondacks as you pedal a rail bike on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad from Thendara Station to Carter Station, then enjoy a train ride back. The adventure continues on day two as you take a thrilling white water rafting trip down the Hudson River. On the last day take a hike up Bald Mountain and climb the Rondaxe Fire Tower for a spectacular view of the region. Finish the trip with a relaxing ride up the McCauley Mountain Scenic Chairlift to get a view from the top. The trip will spend 3 days and 2 nights at a local campground in Old Forge. The rest of the week will be spent at Trefoil, where campers will be able to participate in classic camp activities.
Full refunds are given if GSNYPENN cancels a Council-run program or event. Troops, groups or individuals will be notified as soon as possible when a decision is made. Payments for all Council programs and events are non-refundable, unless Council cancels the event, or the registering person/group cancels PRIOR to the registration deadline.
Any refund or credit requested may e settled on a case by case basis and is subject to a 25% processing fee, deducted from the original payment total.
No refunds or credit will be given for 'no-shows' for any reason.
