Comstock Troop Core Camp

Troop Core Camp is the perfect program for a troop that wants to enjoy a camping experience as a group. Camp staff facilitates programming including archery, waterfront, arts and crafts, and more. Additionally, all meals and first aid are provided. Meals will be done cook-out style in your unit, guided by a camp staff member. Troops don’t need to bring a Simply Successful Camping or First Aid training to participate, making for a camping experience that is accessible to all! Troop Core Camp is offered throughout June, July and August at all four camp properties and is open to all levels. Cost is $65 per girl and each troop can bring two adults for free. Any additional adults are $20 per person. There is a $25 deposit per person for Troop Core Camps due at the time of registration.

*Please note: we are currently limiting our sleeping areas to half capacity. For Comstock, troops can bring a maximum of 14 participants including adults and girls.

Overnight Accommodation Choices

We have a variety of overnight accommodations available for the weekend – check out what’s included in each option below. You will choose your accommodation during the registration process.

Village Cabin Units

These units are: Christa, Susan, Harriet and Laura.

Each of the units is built on stilts along the hillside—with a connecting deck between all of the cabins. The units all have electricity, a pavilion with refrigerator, picnic tables and a fire circle. Each unit will have access to nearby flush toilets and showers. None of these cabins are heated. Laura Ingalls Wilder is wheelchair accessible. Please ONLY book Laura if you require an accessible unit and/or there is nothing else available.

Bailiwick Lodge is a two story cobblestone building that has a kitchenette with fridge, counter space, oven/stove, microwave and coffee maker. The building has electricity throughout. Outside there is a front porch and a fire circle. There are cots with mattresses for up to 10. There is heat in the building. The only bathroom for this building is a latrine outside. There is no running water inside the building. There is a spigot outside by the latrine and inside the building there is a water cooler with drinking/cooking water. The only shower access for this building is a moderate walk away down into main camp. This building has its own driveway and parking lot.

Merrywomen Tent Unit

Merrywomen is a platform tent unit in the woods towards the top of the hill. Each tent has four cots. There is also a pavilion with tables, fire circles and a latrine/water spigot within the unit.
