What is Classic Camp?
Each evening campers participate in an all-camp program full of fun, community and laughter! These programs include our opening and closing campfires, along with maybe an all-camp twilight swim, Capture the Flag, a counselor hunt, and more. Meals are served family-style in the main lodge, with the exception of Wednesday night, which is all-camp cook-out, and also new this year, all camp sleep-out night! Campers will also spend an hour and a half with their unit each day (a grouping of similar-aged campers), deciding with their counselors what additional activities they’d like to partake in on top of their daily activities!
What are the daily activities? At Comstock, each camper who enrolls in “Classic Camp” gets the opportunity to participate in her choice of four core program areas each day, for an hour block each. In addition to our classic camp activities, limited space is available for various add-ons at additional cost.
How do I customize my camp experience?
Campers will pick their four daily activities, along with their add-ons during registration. Once you have decided on your week, you will be given the option to add your activities and your add-ons on to your registration experience.
What does my Village Unit name mean?
Village Units include: Susan B Anthony Unit, Harriet Tubman Unit, Laura Ingalls Wilder Unit, and Christa McAuliffe Unit. This is the cabin village unit that your camper will be assigned to. All campers will be sharing their cabin village with 4 counselors (who sleep in a separate, nearby cabin). If you would like to bunk with a friend when you come to camp, you MUST be registered into the same village group. If you and your friend are not in the same age group, please contact the Camp Director to make special arrangements.
